Scenes from my Week

From the sewing room
  • some new fabrics to add to the stash
From the book pile
  • a memoir with recipes from blogger Sasha Martin - this  book really made  me appreciate my pretty normal upbringing.  Check out her blog for her Global Table Adventures - love her picks for the New Zealand meal,
From the kitchen
  • Lumberjack cake - recipe from here
From my morning walk
  • snowdrops - definite signs that spring isn't too far away

  1. Lovely new fabrics! (I'm wondering what the one 3rd from the left is?) Ah, I've got heaps of apples just now and searched for something similar but no luck, so this will be great, thanx for the link! !

  2. I may have to try that recipe! Looks good.

  3. Beautiful fabrics, the cake looks delicious. Whilst the snowdrops are so pretty, my heart sank if spring is on the way for you then autumn will be upon us here very soon.

  4. mmmm the cake looks scrummy. Looking forward to seeing what you make with your new fabrics.

  5. There is a lot to be said for normal - love every minute of it ;)

  6. Oh, your week looks like it was a good one! You've included some of my most favourite things, pretty fabric, a good book, yummy home baking and lovely flowers. What could be better? :o) Enjoy it all, and thanks so much for sharing, Julie!
