My new favourite block.

Rachel hard at work basting her applique down

Some of Deb's sampler blocks for her quilt

Mel's wip - a  paper pieced donkey for a swap she is in.
  • I bought myself a new cutting mat so had to try it out.  Gosh it is amazing the difference it makes.  The result another couple of blocks for my #100days100 blocks project - I am a little ahead, but I know I have a busy week, so this way I don't have to stress out over not keeping up
Sewing Day
  • another day of catching up with my friends, good food, interesting projects, and even a good trip home today
Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend.

  1. Your blocks are amazing, you have a rare skill and a eye for colour.

  2. Looks like a lovely weekend all round Julie. I've not thought of the difference a new cutting mat might make but a new rotary blade sure makes a huge difference for me.

  3. Glad you enjoyed your sewing day, I love Deb's butterfly blocks!

  4. How can Mel part with that donkey, after all the time she is putting into it? That's amazing! I wonder whether I might need a new cutting mat? Who knew it would make such a difference?!

  5. Hi,
Thank you for posting the book ... it sounds interesting.
    I like Deb's collection.
    Have a great week!!

  6. Looks like a happy weekend! Block #39 is a clever one.

  7. A new cutting board and some sewing time with must feel like a new women!
